1. Introduction

IELTS AI Tutor: Exam Prep® is an IELTS learning and teaching platform. You may sign in with Google (including Google One Tap or Sign in with Google). This policy is intended to meet the disclosure requirements of the Google API Services User Data Policy and Google APIs Terms of Service regarding Google user data.

2. Data Accessed (Google User Data)

When you choose to sign in with Google, we access only the basic Google account information needed to authenticate you and create or manage your IELTS AI Tutor: Exam Prep® account. Specifically, we access:

• Name (display name from your Google account)
• Email address
• Profile photo URL (if available)
• Google user identifier (unique account ID used for authentication)

We do not request access to your Google Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Contacts, or other Google services beyond basic Sign-In profile and email information.

3. Other Information We Collect

In addition to Google Sign-In data, we may collect:

• Account preferences and profile settings within the app
• Learning progress, practice results, and usage activity
• Device and technical information needed to operate the service (such as app version and basic diagnostics)
• Cookies or similar technologies on our website to maintain sessions and improve the service

4. Data Usage

We use Google user data and other personal information to:

• Authenticate your identity and create, sign in to, or manage your IELTS AI Tutor: Exam Prep® account
• Display your name and profile photo in the Service where relevant
• Provide IELTS learning features, save progress, and personalize your experience
• Communicate with you about your account, support requests, and important service updates
• Maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve the reliability and quality of the Service

We use Google user data only for the purposes described in this policy and in a manner consistent with Google’s API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements where applicable.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell Google user data or other personal information. We do not share Google user data with third parties for advertising or unrelated commercial purposes.

We may share information only in these limited cases:

• Service providers / infrastructure: Trusted processors that help us operate the Service (for example, Google Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore for account authentication and data storage). These providers process data on our behalf under contractual and security obligations.
• Legal requirements: When disclosure is required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of SteadyLabs, our users, or the public.
• Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, where user information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to continued privacy protections.

6. Data Storage & Protection

Google user data and account information are stored securely using industry-standard cloud infrastructure, including Google Firebase Authentication and related Google Cloud / Firebase services.

• Access to personal data is limited to authorized personnel who need it to operate and support the Service
• We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration (including encrypted connections in transit where applicable)
• Authentication is handled through Google Sign-In / Firebase Auth; we do not receive or store your Google account password

7. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain Google user data and related account information for as long as your account remains active and as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we remove associated personal data according to the process below.

How to request deletion:

• In the app: open Settings and choose Delete Account, or
• By email: contact us at thuy@steadylabs.net with your registered email address

Full deletion instructions are also available at our Account Deletion page. Deletion requests are typically processed within 7–14 days. Backup copies may be retained for up to 30 days before permanent deletion. Limited data may be retained longer when required for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.

8. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You can revoke IELTS AI Tutor: Exam Prep®'s access to your Google Account at any time in your Google Account permissions settings. Revoking access or uninstalling the app does not automatically delete your IELTS AI Tutor: Exam Prep® account; please use the deletion process above.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age where parental consent is required in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
